Taylorsville Lake State Park Itís a wrangler's dream come true! The park sits on a 3,050-acre lake and its 1,600 acres encompasses some of the most beautiful riding country around, not far away from Kentucky's biggest city (Louisville)! Camping Camp out in Taylorsville Lake's beautiful countryside in a 45-site RV campground. Central service building with laundry. Open year-round. Rates are: $16.00 which includes two persons per night. Each additional person over 16 years of age = $1.00 Campground Phone: (502) 477-0086. Pets are allowed if restrained. Horseman's Camp Ten sites of the campground are set aside for horse camping. Sites have water and electric and use same Service Building with laundry. Trail System The wonderful 16-mile trail system on this park is managed as multi-use trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. Directions: 1. From E-town take BLUE GRASS PKWY E. (32.90 miles) 2. Take the KY-55 exit- exit number 34-towards SPRINGFIELD/BLOOMFIELD. (0.19 miles) 3. Turn RIGHT onto KY-55 toward Taylorsville. (12.83 miles) 4. Follow signs posted to Taylorsville Lake State Park
